The Mavins crew boss took to Twitter on Thursday to thank God for his special day, with a simple-looking but beautiful picture of himself wearing a pink native attire.

With a smile on his face and a Mavin crested gold chain bearing the bold letter M on his neck, Jazzy tweeted, “It’s my birthday today. Dear lord, I do not take it for granted. It’s been one crazy year. I give GOD all the glory for life and the many blessings. Thank you guys for all the wishes already I feel loved. hehe. I love y’all too.”

Don Jazzy co-founded the defunct Mo Hitz crew in 2004 and made the waves alongside artists like D-Banj, Wande Coal, K-Switch, Dr Sid and D-Prince.

When the Mo Hitz crew collapsed in March 2012, Jazzy also known as Don Baba J, flagged his new label, Mavin Records on 8 May 2012.

“I see Mavin Records being the powerhouse of Music in Africa in the shortest possible time,” he said then and went on to sign Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Dija.

He has also worked with other Nigerian stars including Ikechuckwu, Naeto C, Wierd MC, Darey, Sauce Kid as well as Shank, amongst others.

Internationally, Don Jazzy teamed up with Kanye West, Jay Z and Beyonce, providing vocal performance for Kanye West’s song Lift Off with Beyoncé on the Watch The Throne album which was released on 8 August 2011. He was employed by Kanye West as a producer at Very Good Beatz.
