The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, CP Salami Amidu Bolaji says there could be an increased fear of crimes in other States across the country due to the consequences of EndSars and the period we are in, but never in Ondo State as his Command has mapped out certain defined strategies that will allow citizens and visitors to Ondo State the opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the seasons to its fullest without fear and threats of crimes.
In his Christmas greetings to the good people of Ondo State, CP Salami said he has sworn to provide adequate and comfortable security to lives and property of all and sundry in the Sunshine State; and this he will do to the best of his ability.
“The most soul destroying thing anyone can do for now is lie around and think that Ondo State will be safe for him to perpetuate crimes, unless his thinking is productively designed and directed at seeing himself in jail”
He further said there is no doubt the reality we faced during ENDSARS is very much fresh in our memory and so his Command will not allow any undefined group to do anything that will be inimical to the taste and life of the people of Ondo State this time again.
CP Salami Bolaji therefore said, for those of us who are gracious to see this Christmas and a hope for the New year should count ourselves very lucky having passed through the dictates of year 2020 and its outstanding realities.
He promised his Command will ensure those coming in or residents in Ondo State will comfortably relax, wine, dine or go about their respective businesses without the fear and tension of crimes.
According to him, Ondo State is effectively policed to such a degree that will certainly put an end to the mindless and incredible hostility perpetrated by those who found their criminal opportunities from the ENDSARS protest and still hope to continue in it.
CP Salami, on behalf of officers and men of Ondo Police Command wishes Christian faithful across the State a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New year in advance, as he assures them of his commitment to work with all to achieve the best security for Ondo State.
