Member representing Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency of Ondo State, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 bagged the Oodua Connect Excellent Leadership Award for his outstanding leadership performance.
The award was presented to Adefisoye by the organization’s president at his Opasorun constituency office in Idanre. The organization was however described by its president as the voice of Yoruba race.
It will be recalled however, that Adefisoye was honored with the Award of Most Influential Reps Member of the Year by the Sunshine Youth and Students Stakeholders (SYSS) on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
While presenting the award, the organization president noted that a number of nominees were subjected to leadership scrutiny, before the choice of Adefisoye was arrived at as the House of Representatives member with outstanding leadership performance in year 2020.
Also, the organization further appreciated Adefisoye for his commendable ambassadorial role as a leadership model for Nigerian youth. Moreso, other youths in leadership positions were also charged by the organization to take a cue from the humility and exemplary leadership style of Adefisoye.
Speaking during the award presentation ceremony, Adefisoye thanked the organizers for their diligent search that eventually produced him as the winner. He also commended the organisation for its relentless advocacy for the involvement of Nigerian youth in governance.
Speaking further, Adefisoye promised to continually give his all in upholding the tenets of good leadership. He also assured of regular deployment of highest standard while representing the youth. He also pledged to continually align with and remain on the side of the the people.
“Our voices can only be heard when we have more youth in governance. Our desire of birthing a better and greater Nigeria can only be achieved when we have more youth in government”, stressed Adefisoye.
