Dries Mertens has finally got an escape route in the English club, Arsenal.
Arsenal are lining up a sensational move for Napoli striker, who may like to continue his career in the EPL.
Sky Sports reported that the Gunners had been making a push to bring the 33-year-old striker to England at the end of this season.
Mertens resisted a move to Chelsea last summer, choosing to sign a new deal with Napoli instead.
However, despite having a deal to 2022 now with the Azzurri, Mertens would like to seek “a new challenge” and is tempted by interest from Arsenal.
The Belgian has scored four goals and produced six assists in 13 Serie A games this season.
