Ondo State CP, Salami Bolaji advises newly promoted officers in the Nigeria Police Force
The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Police Command, CP Salami Amidu Bolaji has enjoined Officers of the Command who are beneficiaries from the recent wave of promotions across Commands and Formations in the Nigeria Police Force to see their elevation to their new ranks not only as an increment in the height of their profession but also as an elevation to higher and greater responsibilities in the discharge of their professional callings.
CP Salami made this remarks while decorating the newly promoted Officers to their new rank at the Commissioner’s Conference Room, State Headquarters, Igbatoro Road, Akure.
CP Salami Bolaji said, every elevation in life comes with new elevated responsibility, but in the Nigeria Police, and especially now, promotions are not just signs of transition to higher authority, but more of responsibilities on the shoulders of those elevated.
He says, “Therefore, those of you who are decorated with new ranks today, should understand that you now wear more responsibilities on behalf of the Command, the entire Nigeria Police Force, but primarily your father’s name”.
CP Bolaji said Ondo State Police Command and the entire Nigeria Police Force expect nothing but an elevated professional competency from you at this point of your career.
Some of those decorated with their new ranks include, DSP Oladiran Aduke to Superintendent of Police, Assistant Superintendents of Police, ASP Balogun Yomi, ASP Adeoya Bukola to Deputy Superintendent of Police, (DSPs). Others are ASP Olalere Azeez, Personal Assistant to the CP, now a confirmed ASP, Inspector Alabi Fatai to ASP and ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, now a Deputy Superintendent of Police, (DSP).
