Niger school abduction: Senate urges President Buhari to declare state of emergency on insecurity
Following the abduction of school children and teachers of Government Science College Kagara in Niger State by bandits, the Senate at its plenary on Wednesday, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on insecurity.
The Senate also told the President to implement the recommendations made by the Senate on security matters.
The resolutions followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance, sponsored by Senator Sani Musa.
In his contribution, Senator Bima Enagi Mohammed (Niger South APC), described the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC government as incompetent.
