Baba Suwe: Sola Kosoko, Yomi Fabiyi, others pay tribute
Movie practitioners have started paying tribute to veteran Yoruba actor, Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe, who died at 63 on Monday.
His death was announced by one of his sons, Adesola Omidina on Instagram.
Some of his younger colleagues, who took to their social media accounts to react to his death include Yewande Adekoya, Sola Kosoko, Muka Ray, and Sunny Alli.
Yewande Adekoya Abiodun wrote: “Rest In peace legend.”
For Sola Kosoko- Abina, one of the daughters of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, it’s a piece of sad news.
She wrote, “Oh my God, rest in peace.”
Muka Ray, one of the sons of legendary actor, Ray Eyinwunmi, expressed shock saying, “Haa, rest in peace.”
Sunny Alli, a member of the Odunfa Caucus, who worked closely with the late Baba Suwe in his prime wrote: “Innalillahi waina illaehi rojiun …RIP Baba suwe.”
Yomi Fabiyi, one of the proteges of late Omidina, couldn’t hide his sadness.
While his phones have remained busy, he shared a candle light and emojis of weeping on his Instagram account.
