The Ondo State House of Assembly Lawmaker and one of the leading contenders for the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives has made an announcement of his withdrawal from the contest.

The Lawmaker representing Ilaje Constituency 1 at the State House of Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary, announces his formal withdraw from the race. According to him, the decision to withdraw followed a meeting among which Mr Governor, The Deputy Governor,The State Exco lead by Engr Adetimehin with notable Party leaders and Stakeholders were present in akure.

Hon Abayomi made this decision in the best interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the urge for the party to embrace unity. He said that “disunity has not allowed the party to claim the Rep seat in Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency”

In a statement made at the leaders & exco meeting of his ward, LG Exco,ward chairmen & ward secretaries from ilaje constituency 1 on 8th May,2022 he said his ambition to run for the house of representatives is not personal but the crave for development in the mandate area.

He further stressed that, with a great sense of Responsibility, unalloyed loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Rotimi Odunayo Akeredolu and commitment towards the development of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, he will once again run for the State House of Assembly in the 10th Assembly.

He thanks all the delegates across & everyone for their unflinching support and all support groups who believed in his vision and contributed towards actualizing his dream.
