Owo Attack: Tola Awosika Condemns Killings, Commiserates With Ondo Govt, Bereaved

Dr. Tola Awosika has condemned the killings that took place on Sunday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, owo, in Ondo State.

Awosika described the incident as barbaric and a violation of the sanctity of the sanctuary and the peace of the peaceful community.

“The incident was an unfortunate act of sheer wickedness. It was an unprovoked attack on innocent and defenceless worshipers including children and was an unimaginable act of wickedness”. Awosika said.

He commiserated with the families of the victims, the peaceful people of Owo kingdom and Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He urged the people not to react in fear or anger but to remain calm to allow security agents to fish out the perpetrators as a matter of urgency.

“This is a very trying time for the government and people of Ondo State; may God be with the people and give the families the strength to bear this unimaginable loss” He said.
