Founder of the Tola Awosika Foundation, Dr. Tola Emmanuel Awosika has expressed sadness over the scores of church worshippers murdered in cold blood by bandits at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo on Sunday June 5,2022
The Special Adviser On Media and Publicity to Tola Awosika Movement Mr Ayokunlemi Ambrose spoke to newsmen during a commiseration visit to the victims of the attack at the Federal Medical Center,Owo while condemning the attack stated that the incident stoof against the communal values and cores of the people of Ondo State who he said are peace loving people .
According to him, the incident was carried out by evil perpetrators who have no recourse to moral nor respect to the sanctity of the human life in the community.
He said, “I commiserate with the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the Olowo of Owo, His Royal Highness Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye for the emotional hardship and pain they are experiencing over the gruesome murder of members of St Francis Catholic Church in Owo”
Against all odds, Awosika extended his kind gesture by donating relief items to the victims of this horrible incidenct and their families which was received by the Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Center,Owo, Dr. Laisu Adeagbo Ahmed,the visit was further extended to the scene of the attack,St Francis Catholic Church Owo, where cash donation was made to the Parish Priest of the Church for affected members.
