Mane scores in Bundesliga debut as Bayern demolish Eintracht Frankfurt
Sadio Mane wasted no time in announcing his presence in the German League as he scored on his Bundesliga debut against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.
Mane, who joined Bayern in a summer switch from Liverpool has been in sizzling form throughout preseason games, cementing his bonafides as a top striker.
In the match which ended 6-1, Joshua Kimmich opened scoring for the Bundesliga Champions with a free-kick barely five minutes into the game.
Benjamin Pavard doubled Bayern’s lead five minutes later, while Mane made it three after heading home Serge Gnabry’s cross in the 29th minute.
Jamal Musiala and Gnabry increased Bayern’s tally to five goals before first half break.
Randal Kolo Muani pulled one back for Frankfurt in the 64th minutes. But Musiala added another goal for Bayern, bringing final scores to 6-1 in favour of Bayern.
With Friday’s win, Bayern top the Bundesliga log with three points and six goals.
