Presidency: I won’t rule Nigeria from Dubai – Tinubu mocks Atiku
The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has mocked his counterpart from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, as the race for the 2023 presidential heats up.
Tinubu said unlike Atiku, he would not be a part-time President who shares his time between living in Dubai and Nigeria.
He spoke during an interactive session with members of the Tijaniyya sect in Kano yesterday, and was contained in a statement by his Media Aide, Tunde Rahman.
Tinubu promised to focus on confronting and surmounting Nigeria’s challenges.
According to Tinubu: “I promise to devote 100% of my time and energy to serving Nigeria.
You will have it better with me, not 50% in Dubai in the United Arab Emirate, 50% in Nigeria.”
He further noted that top on the list of his agenda is improved electricity, security, agriculture, provision and completion of dams, and provision of quality education.
At the meeting, members of the Tijaniyya sect, led by Sheikh Bashir Tijjani Usman Zangon Bareebah, presented a long list of issues the sect wants the APC Presidential candidate to address when he gets to office.
