Not fewer than five travelers have lost their lives in a single fatal accident on the Benin-Ore-Lagos Expressway this past Sunday.
Funmi Odunlami, spokesperson for the Ondo State Police, has confirmed this to reporters, noting that several individuals were also injured in the incident.
She said, “Today at about 04:30pm, around Akinfosile area along Ore/Lagos express way, the Police received report that a Toyota Hiace Bus with Reg No FKG 405 FX from Akure enroute Lagos while on the way summersaulted and entered into the bush.
“The Police have moved injured victims to the nearest hospital ( Grace of God Hospital) while the dead have been moved to the mortuary of the same hospital.
“Investigation is on going to unravel the cause of the accident while effort is on to contact the families of the passengers involved in the accident.
