Isikalu Oluwaseun, aged 35, appeared before the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Thursday, facing allegations of stealing N2,100,000.
He entered a plea of not guilty to the three-count charge, which includes conspiracy, felony (stealing), and obtaining by false pretense.
According to Inspector Adegeshin Famuyiwa, the defendant allegedly committed the offenses on March 10 in the Grammar School area of Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa further elaborated that Oluwaseun purportedly obtained the money under false pretenses, promising to secure a two-bedroom apartment for the complainant, Gift Enuekaonye.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 411, 314 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate A. O. Ogbe granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ogbe adjourned the case until May 16, for mention.
