Ondo Election: INEC announces date to begin voters registration
In preparation for the upcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is gearing up to initiate the Continuous Voters’ Registration process. INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu revealed this during a meeting with political parties at the commission’s Abuja headquarters on Monday.
The Continuous Voters’ Registration is scheduled to kick off from May 27 to June 5, 2024. Additionally, Yakubu has set a deadline of May 20, 2024, for political parties participating in the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election to submit the names of their candidates.
According to him, parties are expected to finalise and submit the names of their candidates before the 20th of May, when the portal for candidates in the forthcoming Ondo governorship election will close.
