Guber poll: APC caucus in Ondo Assembly applauds Sen. Ibrahim for withdrawing suit

The Ondo State All Progressives Congress, APC, Caucus in the State House of Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon Olamide Oladiji has lauded Senator JImoh Ibrahim over his recent decision to withdraw the suit challenging the victory of the Government of the State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa at the April 20 Primary election of the APC.

This was made known in an official statement made available to journalists by the Secretary of the caucus, Hon. Ololade Gbegudu shortly after a meeting in Akure today.

The Speaker of the House, who expressed appreciation to Senator JImoh Ibrahim for such selfless decision,said that it would further cement the unity and oneness of the party.

Oladiji gave kudos to President Tinubu for his timely intervention in the matter, explaining that litigation is not the only alternative way to dispute resolution.

“We sincerely appreciate Mr.President for his efforts at ensuring that there is peace in our Sunshine State.He is no doubt a selfless and exemplary leader with a large heart”,he said.

While also appreciating the APC leadership, particularly its national Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje and the State Chairman, Engr.Ade Adetimehin for encouraging unity and cohesion among political actors in the State, Oladiji appealed to other aspirants to key into the genuine reconciliation initiated by President Tinubu in the State.

The Speaker who was delighted at the step taken by the Senator,called on party members to work assiduously for victory in the forthcoming Governorship election.

Speaking earlier, Chairman,House Committee on Information who is also a member of the APC Caucus in Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Olatunji Oshati expressed confidence and optimism that Aiyedatiwa would emerge as Governor come November 17th this year.
