AAUA Female Student Found Dead
Modupe Ayandare, a 500-level Agronomy student at Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State, was found dead this morning in Akungba, within the Akoko South West local government area.
Miss Ayandare was discovered around 4 a.m. on Monday, wearing a white church garment.
Reports indicate that she had left her hostel on Sunday night to attend a vigil and allegedly took her own life while returning from the event. However, this claim remains unverified.
In contrast to the suicide theory, a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @YemieFash suggests her death might have been due to foul play. The video and eyewitness accounts imply that she did not commit suicide.
@YemieFash stated, “The circumstances surrounding her death look very suspicious; video and eyewitness accounts show that she did not commit suicide as presumed. I am calling on the @OndopoliceNG to critically investigate this matter, as this looks more like a case of murder.”
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed that the incident was reported at the Akungba Police Division.
