I’ve nothing to do with PDP —Ondo APC Chieftain, Adeyeri
Despite rumors to the contrary, Adeyeri Stephen, a prominent leader within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has confirmed that he remains a member of the party.
Stephen made this clarification in a statement released to the press on Saturday.
The statement read, “My attention has been drawn to viral speculation that I have left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“The peddlers of this falsehood claim that I have aligned myself with the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP. To set the record straight, I have never met nor associated with Hon. Agboola Ajayi.
“This claim is not only false but also laughable. I have invested significantly in the APC, and it would be unheard-of for me to leave such a party where the prevailing tranquility is unparalleled.
“Even when some political figures stirred up the polity for selfish reasons, instead of walking away, I was at the forefront advocating for justice. My genuine advocacy illuminated the path for His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
“Interestingly, the Governor’s emergence, after a protracted crisis caused by the enemies of the state, ushered in peace and remarkable development to the Sunshine State.
“We have witnessed the tremendous impact of Aiyedatiwa in Ondo State, ranging from road construction to the prompt payment of workers’ salaries, and support for state-owned tertiary institutions, among others.
“I urge the public to dismiss these rumors as I have been a loyal supporter of Aiyedatiwa from the beginning.
