Protest: Be patient with Tinubu, Ondo LG Chairman urges Nigerians

Hon Mohammed Mutiu Olawale, the Chairman Transition Committee Akoko north east & Secretary ALGON, has urged Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, as one year is not enough for an assessment.

Hon Mohammed Mutiu olawale disclosed this during the Akoko North East Youth Town Hall Engagement with the Local Government Transition Committee Chairman on Tuesday in local government Secretariat Ikare-Akoko.

He, therefore, advised youths to stay aloof from vicious protest capable of causing anarchy, stressing that the Tinubu’s administration is doubt all its possible best to stamp out hunger in the country.

Hon Mohammed Mutiu olawale said, “I stand before you today to address a matter of great importance and urgency. As we navigate the current political landscape, it is essential for us to approach our situation with a sense of patience and understanding. I urge our youths to shun violent protests and give thoughtful consideration to the administration of President Bola Tinubu. It has only been one year since he assumed office, and this period is too brief to fully assess the impact and effectiveness of his leadership.

“President Bola Tinubu has already made significant strides in various areas. One notable achievement is the autonomy granted to local governments. This empowerment allows local administrations to operate more independently, fostering development and addressing community-specific needs more efficiently. Such initiatives demonstrate a commitment to decentralizing power and bringing governance closer to the people.

“Instead of resorting to violent protests, which only serve to destabilize our society and undermine our collective progress, let us choose a path of constructive engagement. By being patient and offering our support, we provide the administration with the necessary time to implement and refine policies that will ultimately benefit us all. Constructive criticism and dialogue are far more effective in driving positive change than acts of violence.

“As we reflect on the early stages of President Tinubu’s tenure, it is crucial to recognize that meaningful change often takes time. The challenges we face today are complex and deeply rooted, requiring thoughtful and deliberate solutions. Let us remember that patience is not a sign of weakness but a testament to our commitment to a better future. By standing united and exercising restraint, we can create an environment conducive to growth and prosperity.

“In conclusion, I implore our youths to channel their energy towards positive and constructive endeavors. Let us support the administration in its efforts to build a stronger and more resilient nation. Together, we can achieve remarkable progress and pave the way for a brighter future. Thank you for your attention, and may we continue to work towards a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
