Gunmen kill aid worker
The Executive Director of a non-governmental organisation in Benue State, known as ‘Concerned Youth Development Initiative,’ Chris Terfa-Ikpu has been killed by gunmen.
The gunmen reportedly traced the humanitarian worker to his office which is located around the Logo area of Makurdi on Friday where he was murdered.
One of the sources who claimed to be close to the deceased and who identified himself as Stanley Chimin disclosed that the late Terfa-Ikpu had been away from the state for a while before he returned to his office where he was killed.
It was gathered that the gunmen strolled out of the office premises so as not to attract people around.

Family members were said to have rushed the victim to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The corpse was said to have been deposited at the morgue of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
Efforts to get the spokesperson for the state command, Catherine Anene for confirmation were not successful as her phone rang out.
She also did not reply to a text message sent to her cell phone.
