Aiyedatiwa rolls out ten points agenda for women in Ondo
The Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Mrs Seun Osamaye has revealed the plans of the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for women across the State.
Addressing women in media, Osamaye noted that the Odatiwa Women initiative is designed to ensure that women at the grassroots most especially benefit from government’s palliatives and dividends across all sectors in the State without exception.
According to her, the ten points agenda of the Governor includes; engagement and empowerment of rural and elderly women, provision of access to resources and supports for market women, skill up women initiative, creation of opportunities and strategic inclusion of women with disabilities and facilitation of Government’s intervention for Women in Agriculture
Others are; TECH-A-Girl & PAD A Girl Child Initiative, Back 2 School Initiative For Female Adults, Develop capacity building programs for women in politics and Mentorship Programs for Female Students tagged “Campus Outreach” and young women in politics, Provision Of Networks Access to Women Professionals & Entrepreneurs, Health is Wealth Scheme For Women.
She added that under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, no woman will be left out, noting that he prioritizes women’s welfare and development.
She stated that the government of Aiyedatiwa is uniquely different, God sent and an answered prayers to many people.
She said “We will go down to the grassroots, to every nooks and crannies of the state to ensure the people enjoy and partake in the government of Aiyedatiwa. His administration will go down in history as one of the best”.
She urged women not to be discouraged by what has happened to them in time past and that they should come out en masse to participate in politics.
While soliciting for more support from women in media, Osamaye appreciated their collaboration with Odatiwa Women Initiative, saying that it will go a long way in giving visibility to the good works ofGovernor Aiyedatiwa.
She also used the opportunity to appreciate the Governor for the opportunity to serve and assist in women development.
Also speaking, Mrs Arinola Adamolekun, member, Ondo State Hospital Management Board, urged women to patronise government hospitals, adding that the Governor has come to ensure changes.
According to her, people of the state can now access best services in government hospitals as there are no shortage of medical staffs and as well free health services for children under the age of 5.
Madam Kehinde Adeniran, former Senior Special Assistant to late Gov. Akeredolu on Women Affairs, enjoined women to come out en masse to cast their votes for Governor Lucky Orimisan come November 16.
