OSOPADEC disburses N373M Bursary to 5,928 Tertiary Institutions Students

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has successfully disbursed a total sum of N373M as bursary to 5,928 students from the mandate areas studying in various tertiary institutions across the country.

  1. Beneficiaries of the scheme for the 2022/2023 academic session included; undergraduate students in Colleges of Education, Health Institutions, Polytechnics, and Universities. Other beneficiaries are PGD, Law School, Master Degree and Ph.D Students.
  2. While a total sum of N320m was appropriated to students in the undergraduate categories, N53m was disbursed to students in the postgraduate brackets.
  3. The Commission, through this age long practice has continually support the educational pursuits of students in the Niger Delta region of the state thereby providing succor for them in advancing their educational career.
  4. The Secretary of the Interventionist Agency, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole commend the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for expressly approving and release of fund for this laudable educational initiative.
  5. While appreciating the students for their cooperation’s and resilience, the Secretary assured that subsequent editions of the scheme will be smooth and seamless as all bottlenecks encountered in this year’s scheme would be minimally reduced.
