As the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State draws nearer,
the State Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Comrade Bolarinwa Adewale, has reaffirmed the association’s steadfast commitment to supporting the re-election of Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Comrade Adewale further hinted, that the association’s commitment to Governor Aiyedatiwa victory at the poll is massive and total.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Akure after a meeting with RTEAN’s leadership, Adewale pledged the association’s backing, promising to deliver bulk votes through its members for the Governor’s re-election.

“We have the mandate from our National President, Alhaji Musa Muhammed, to support the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State.

“Any member of our association found doing otherwise will be suspended,” he stated.

He further emphasised that the Governor’s visit to the association’s state secretariat on 2nd October marked the first time any sitting Governor had formally recognised the association.

“This has strengthened our belief in the leadership of His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as he has proven himself to be a listener committed to advancing Ondo State to a position of envy,” Adewale added.

He also noted that the appointment of RTEAN members to the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Campaign Council is a testament to the current administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and politics.

The chairman pledged RTEAN’s full support for Governor Aiyedatiwa before, during, and after the election and urged the Governor to ensure that the association receives equal rights and privileges alongside other trade unions in the state.
