Family appeals to Sanwo-Olu for Justice over murder of LCDA Staff

The family of the late Idowu Keshinro, a former employee of the Agbowa Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ota Ikosi Ejinrin, has called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ensure justice is served amid concerns that the investigation may be compromised.

In a petition addressed to the governor, Akeem Keshinro, the deceased’s elder brother, expressed fears that the suspects involved in his brother’s murder are leveraging their connections to evade justice.

The petition states: “We believe that other individuals linked to this case who are currently at large are intensifying their efforts to escape accountability through perversion of justice regarding the matter.”

Akeem Keshinro further detailed that some suspects, along with a relative of one of the defendants, have been boasting about their ability to secure the defendants’ release through connections with politicians and financial resources that could influence the Attorney General’s office.

“The office of the Attorney General is a dignified institution deserving utmost respect. However, the ongoing attempts to undermine the justice process in this case have become alarmingly blatant,” the petition reads.

Keshinro’s family expressed feelings of helplessness and despair, fearing that if these individuals succeed in their efforts, it would result in further suffering and a denial of justice for Idowu Keshinro and his loved ones.
