Party Cohesion Key to Victory, Ondo Deputy Governor Rallies Owo APC
Ondo state deputy governor, Dr Olayide Adelami has urged members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Owo to remain united and committed towards the 2024 project of Aiyedatiwa/Adelami.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Owo APC campaign committee on Sunday, the deputy governor praised the party faithful for their efforts during the APC governorship primary election in April.
“I recognize the efforts of our people during the primaries, which demonstrated that the APC in Owo is indeed one, as we delivered overwhelmingly for the governor to emerge candidate of the party. So we must all know that party cohesion is key to victory.
“What binds all of us together is the progress of Owo and the need to develop the kingdom and its people. To achieve this, the current administration must continue beyond 2024 and our votes will definitely make a loud statement” Adelami energized the party faithful.
The deputy governor touched on some achievements of the governor that are already yielding positive results.
He said, “Recently, Mr Governor will soon approve the construction of some bridges in rural areas across the state. As you aware that we started grading some of the rural roads in Owo local government as part of our community development initiatives. The two projects compliment each other to ensure that our people have access to good roads to bring their farm produce to town”
Remarking, the Director General of Owo APC campaign committee, Dr Akin Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa, charged the newly-inaugurated committee to work assiduously for the victory of the party in November.
Member Board of Trustees of the APC, Chief Jamiu Ekungba, said the state is indeed lucky to have Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Adelami, at the helm of affairs in the state.
Chief Ekungba described the deputy governor as “a politician with a difference and a trusted friend of over 30 years. He will always do whatever he has promised”
