Aiyedatiwa’s Victory: A Reward for Excellent Leadership – Ondo Permanent Secretaries
The Ondo State Forum of Permanent Secretaries has attributed Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s landslide victory in the recently concluded governorship election to his outstanding performance during his 10 months in office.
Governor Aiyedatiwa emerged victorious in all 18 local government areas of the state, securing 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr. Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 117,845 votes.
In a statement issued on Friday in Akure, the Forum’s Chairman, Chief Bunmi Alade, and Secretary, Prophet Jide Ekpobomini, congratulated the governor and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on their well-deserved victory. They described the win as a reflection of the governor’s quality leadership and effective delivery of governance.
The statement highlighted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s strong track record and dedication to the welfare of Ondo State’s residents were key factors in earning the trust and support of voters.
“Your victory is a clear testament to your administration’s outstanding policies and programmes, which have deeply resonated with the electorate. Your commitment to ensuring the security of lives and properties is unmatched,” the statement noted.
The Forum expressed confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s ability to continue driving progress in social, infrastructural, environmental, and economic development, further enhancing the lives of Ondo State residents.
It concluded with prayers for divine strength, wisdom, and guidance for the governor as he strives to make Ondo State a model for excellence in governance across Nigeria.
