Bandits hijack Christmas food supplies in Kaduna community
Armed bandits reportedly intercepted a man transporting food items and beverages to Gidan Abe, a village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A local leader disclosed the incident, which occurred on Saturday at approximately 5:23 p.m., during a conversation on Monday.
The victim was returning to Gidan Abe after purchasing a bag of rice, drinks, and condiments for Christmas celebrations in Katari when assailants on motorcycles blocked his path.
The attackers seized the goods and fled the scene without causing harm or abducting the man, according to the source.
“Earlier today, while visiting Katari village, I learned that a man travelling to Gidan Abe for Christmas had his food items stolen by motorcycle-riding bandits,” the community leader shared.
As of the time of reporting, the Kaduna State Police Command, through its spokesperson ASP Hassan Mansur, had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
