Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has pledged that his administration shall continue to serve with utmost dedication, selflessness and love.

The Governor made this pledge at the 2025 edition of the annual prayer meeting of the Governor with public servants of Ondo State.

Addressing the gathering at the Governor’s office on Thursday, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasised that his administration shall run an all-inclusive, open and accountable administration in the overall best interest of the good people of Ondo State.

According to the Governor, his administration has deliberately prioritised good governance, translating to massive developments in all sectors of the economy of the State.

“We are resolute to put in place programmes and policies that will facilitate the accelerated development of the State. We will pursue this vision vigorously and conscientiously.

He called on all public servants and political office holders to keep subscribing with an abiding faith, to the collective vision of a vibrant Ondo State.

“Our people deserve the very best and we must be committed to delivering a responsible and responsive governance.

“In the days ahead, after inauguration, a retreat programme would be organised for both the topmost echelon of the Bureaucracy and political office holders to ensure that government policy thrusts are properly distilled and actionable plans set out for respective government departments, without further delay.

“The expectations of our people are high and we must do all that are practically possible to meet them”.

The Governor, however, sought for continued loyalty, cooperation and support of public servants and other stakeholders.

Earlier in his address, the Head of Service, Mr Bayo Philip welcomed all public servants back from the yuletide holidays, stressing that the state in its official dealings has never operated independent of God, from its individual praise orators, to departmental monthly prayers, to the state-organized monthly praise program personally led by the Governor.

“We give expression and confirmation to the fact that our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ, our righteousness. Today’s assembly in our statutory tradition, therefore, is to appreciate God who has been our help.

“Let us not underestimate the power of appreciation. When we take a moment such as this to recognize and celebrate the goodness of our Creator, it goes a long way to provoke more blessing from him to us as individuals, to government and to our state corporate.

He appreciated the Governor for his support, his passion for the public service and his willingness to make a difference.

He added that the public service will support and collaborate for a seamless synergy with the political class for effective implementation of the Governor’s lofty programs and projects.

“I want to assure Your Excellency of the commitment and loyalty of bureaucracy as we continue to do more in the area of efficient resource management and also to ensure that fund leakages are minimized.

“This service will rededicate itself to quality service delivery, resting on the confidence of continued support and motivation from Government”.
