Renowned Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed outrage after an Instagram blog falsely associated his name with a kidnapping incident.

The controversy began when Instablog shared images of three suspected kidnappers, including their leader, who identified himself as “Davido.”

According to reports, the suspects were apprehended by residents of Victory Estate in Ago Palace, Lagos State. During interrogation, one of them introduced himself as Ifeanyi from Anambra State, while the alleged leader confirmed his nickname, stating, “Davido is my nickname. I came to kidnap.” The other two suspects disclosed that they hailed from Kwara and Imo states.

However, the blog’s caption sparked outrage as it read: “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.”

Reacting to the misleading post, Davido reshared it and issued a stern warning to the blog, saying: “One day go be one day… continue… my karma no dey always tey.”
