The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted 66 senior officers in the Nigeria Police Force. The announcement, made in Abuja on Monday, confirmed the elevation of officers across various ranks.

As part of the promotions, 20 Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), while 19 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) have been promoted to CP.

Additionally, 13 Superintendents of Police (SPs) have advanced to the rank of Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), and 14 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) have been promoted to SP.

Among those promoted are Fasuba Olabode, Musibau Ajani, Aliyu Musa, Patrick Atayero, and Gyogon Grimah. Others include Olaiya Mobolaji, Chukwudi Ariekpere, Abubakar Aliyu, Olalolu Adegbite, Godwin Eze, Disu Olatunji, and Alausa Tolani.

The officers went through examinations and interactive interviews conducted by the commission before their promotions.

The process was overseen by PSC Chairman Hashimu Argungu and other commission members.

This promotion exercise aims to enhance leadership within the Nigeria Police Force by recognizing and rewarding officers who have demonstrated professionalism, commitment, and competence in their service.
