Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has claimed that the ongoing conflict between the suspended governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, revolves around the distribution of funds.

Amaechi made this assertion during an interview with DW on Saturday.

He also criticized President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in the state’s crisis, describing it as unconstitutional.

Speaking on the matter, he stated, “The disagreement between the Rivers State governor and the FCT minister is about money sharing. If not, what exactly is the issue? Nigerians no longer seem to oppose corruption. I haven’t seen anyone publicly questioning the real cause of the dispute. Can both of them address the public and clarify what the problem is?”
