‘Sex is good’ -Bishop Adejumo advises wives

Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, Co-Founder of Agape Christian Ministries, has urged African women to embrace their sexuality without shame, challenging cultural beliefs that discourage open discussions about intimacy in marriage.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Adejumo emphasized the importance of mutual satisfaction and communication in building strong marital relationships.

She encouraged women to confidently express their needs and desires to their partners rather than adhering to societal expectations that suppress their feelings.

“I enjoy intimacy. If I didn’t, how would I have children? Many women also enjoy it but pretend otherwise because African culture teaches that expressing such feelings makes a woman seem immoral,” she stated.

She called on women to discard outdated beliefs that create barriers in marriage, urging them to be more open and engaged during intimate moments.

“When your husband is touching you, you’re happy. So, the first step is to remove that cultural mindset, or else it will create unnecessary issues in your marriage,” she added.

Adejumo encouraged wives to be expressive, emphasizing that physical connection should be enjoyable and fulfilling for both partners.

“Tell yourself, intimacy is good. I desire my husband. When you are together, don’t just remain silent or passive. Communicate, express yourself—it’s an important part of a healthy marriage,” she advised.

She also warned against repressing natural desires, stating that such an attitude could harm relationships.

“We need to change this mentality because the devil is using it to destroy marriages. Intimacy is the highest level of connection between a husband and wife. Show affection, appreciate your spouse, and make your marriage stronger,” she concluded.
