A statement issued on Sunday, April 13, by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, revealed that the arrest followed a petition filed by Mr. Okunola Saheed, also known as “Osupa.”
The charges against Portable include criminal defamation, threats to life, incitement, character assassination, disturbing the peace, and the use of abusive language.
The statement further explained that, based on the seriousness of the allegations and the evidence provided, the police obtained a valid arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court in Ilorin.
Acting on the court order, police officers from Kwara Command traveled to Abeokuta, Ogun State, where Portable was arrested around 7:25 p.m. on Saturday.
He was subsequently brought to Ilorin for further questioning.
