The Kogi State Police Command has launched an investigation following the discovery of two lifeless bodies in an apartment in Ankpa Local Government Area.
The deceased, identified as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, were found naked in a room, though it is yet to be confirmed if they were in a relationship. Both were residents of Ankpa.
Police spokesperson SP William Aya described the deaths as sudden and unnatural.
According to him, the matter was reported by Salisu Ibrahim, who raised concerns after his tenant, Sheriff Salifu, failed to come out of his room by mid-morning.
Salifu’s brother eventually gained access to the room through the ceiling and discovered both bodies.
The cause of death remains unknown, and authorities say investigations are ongoing.
