Nollywood star Femi Adebayo has clinched the Best Lead Actor award at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for his compelling role in the film Seven Doors.
Renowned for his versatility and emotional depth, Adebayo emerged victorious in a competitive category that included notable actors such as Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Bucci Franklin (The Weekend), Femi Branch (House of Gaa), Thapelo Makoena (Skeleton Coast), Bimbo Manuel (Princess on a Hill), Stan Nze (Suspicion), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising).
The award ceremony, held in Lagos and broadcast across all Africa Magic channels, celebrates excellence in film, television, and digital content across Africa.
Winners are determined through public votes and a panel of judges.
Festivities began on Friday with the Cultural Day celebration, where guests showcased vibrant traditional attire in a tribute to African heritage and artistry.
The main award night followed on Saturday.
The 2025 AMVCA nominations honoured works released between January 1 and December 31, 2024, spanning various formats in the entertainment industry.
