The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed ongoing calls for his removal from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that no individual has the authority or influence to expel him.

Speaking during a media briefing in Abuja on Monday, Wike reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, stating that he remains a dedicated member of the party.

“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for this party,” he said. “I’ve yet to see anyone bold enough to say, ‘Wike, you’re no longer a member.’ Who is that person? What has he contributed to the party more than I have?”

The former Rivers State governor’s remarks appear aimed at critics within the PDP who have questioned his loyalty due to his political alignment with the current administration.

Further details on the press briefing are expected soon.
