The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set Saturday, August 16, 2025, as the date for by-elections in constituencies with vacant seats.
These by-elections aim to fill positions in both the National and State Assemblies that became vacant due to resignations, deaths, or court-ordered annulments.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, made the announcement during a consultative meeting with leaders of political parties held in Abuja on Thursday.
