JUST IN: ADC leaders step aside for David Mark, Aregbesola to lead party repositioning – Nwosu

The founding National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, has announced that party leaders voluntarily stepped down to allow former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola to assume leadership roles in the party.

Nwosu made this known on Wednesday during the unveiling of the ADC as the opposition coalition platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

According to Nwosu, the leadership transition is aimed at strengthening the party and providing a united front to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s administration in 2027.

David Mark has been named the interim National Chairman of the coalition, while Rauf Aregbesola will serve as the interim National Secretary.

“We all agreed to resign so that Mark, Aregbesola, and others can lead us to the Villa,” Nwosu said. “Their track records and commitment to national development signal a new beginning. They will reposition both the party and the country.”
