Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Kogi Central, has been removed from her position as Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

This development follows strong indications of internal tensions within the Senate.

The decision was reportedly made by Senate President in Godswill Akpabio, although no official reason has been provided for her removal as of the time of reporting.
