Residents of a property in Lagos have raised alarm over ongoing harassment and alleged attempts to forcefully take over the building. One of the tenants, visibly shaken, said, “Since we moved in, there has been no peace.

Thugs frequently invade the premises, steal diesel, vandalize generators, and destroy equipment. I’m now even afraid to go there.”

The landlords and tenants claimed that despite a restraining order placed on the property, the woman accused of orchestrating the takeover has repeatedly ignored it.

They also alleged that she has never appeared in court for any of the ongoing legal cases filed against her and remains unreachable, frequently changing her phone numbers.

Calling the situation a “fraudulent takeover attempt,” the affected parties have appealed to the Nigeria Police Force, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Lagos State Government to intervene and launch a full investigation.

Spokesperson for the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Alagbon, ASP Mayegun Aminat, confirmed that investigations are currently ongoing.

Attempts to contact the woman involved in the dispute were unsuccessful, as she did not respond to phone calls following a press briefing.
