The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) has dismissed claims circulating on social media that the state generated ₦22.48 billion in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) during the first half of 2025.

In a press statement, the agency described the figures as misleading and clarified that the official IGR, as published on the Joint Tax Board (JTB) portal, stands at ₦28.15 billion.

The statement was signed by Bayo Rojugbokan, Ag. Executive Chairman of ODIRS.

ODIRS said it remains committed to transparency, accountability, and the continuous growth of the state’s revenue base in line with global best practices.

The agency urged the public and stakeholders to always verify information from credible sources before sharing.

The service assured residents that it would continue to work towards improving revenue generation to support the sustainable development of Ondo State.
