The National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday confirmed Umar Damagum as the substantive National Chairman of the party.
The decision was reached at the 102nd NEC meeting held in Abuja, where members unanimously resolved to elevate Damagum, who has been in acting capacity for more than a year, ahead of the party’s elective convention slated for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Following the resolution, PDP’s National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, formally administered the oath of office to Damagum.
