The National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) GLOBAL has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what it described as his swift intervention in the payment of bursaries and scholarships to indigenes of the state in tertiary institutions.

The commendation was contained in a statement jointly signed by NAOSS Global President, Comrade Alade Temitope Tosin (Coded), and General Secretary, Comrade Agbeni Kehinde Oluwatobi (Carolux), and made available through the association’s Public Relations Officer, Comrade Ganiyu Yusuf Olatunji (Sir Focus).

According to the statement, Aiyedatiwa’s decision to increase the bursary and scholarship fund from ₦335 million to ₦350 million has further demonstrated his compassion and commitment to the welfare of students.

The students also expressed delight at the expansion of the number of beneficiaries from 11,000 to 12,000, saying the gesture would ease the burden on more families across the state.

Describing the governor as a “Talk and Do” leader and the “Father of Swift Intervention,” the association said his action had reaffirmed the government’s commitment to education and human capital development.

The statement read in part, “This intervention is not only timely but also reassuring, as it reaffirms you as a Talk and Do Governor and indeed the Father of Swift Intervention. Your leadership reflects a rare kind of responsiveness that inspires confidence, trust, and loyalty among the youth and the entire citizenry of Ondo State.

“We, the students, are deeply grateful for this benevolence, which has brought great relief to many families and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to education and human capital development.”

The group prayed for the governor’s continued strength, wisdom, and good health to enable him to take the state to greater heights.
