Tension has gripped Plateau State following the abduction of a member of the State House of Assembly by armed men.
The lawmaker, who represents Pankshin South Constituency, was reportedly taken from his residence late Sunday night, according to a report by AIT.
The incident adds to the rising wave of insecurity in Plateau, where communities have been battling frequent cases of banditry, kidnappings, and communal clashes.
As of press time, state authorities had yet to issue an official statement on the abduction.
