The Oyo State Government has given roadside traders operating along major routes in Ibadan a two-week ultimatum to vacate their trading spots.

According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the directive affects traders selling along Airport Road, Old Ife Road, and Onipepeye areas of the state capital.

The government warned that all affected traders must relocate within the stipulated period, which expires on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration emphasized that the move is part of efforts to ensure public safety, free flow of traffic, and environmental cleanliness in the affected areas.
