The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man identified as Innocent Chukwuma for allegedly using his social media platform to advocate for a military takeover in Nigeria.

The development was disclosed by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday.

According to Makama, DSS operatives traced the suspect to Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he was apprehended following intelligence reports.

Chukwuma, who reportedly operates the X account @TheAgroman, had posted messages calling for the military to assume power and suspend the current democratic government.

A security source quoted by Makama said the suspect is currently in DSS custody and cooperating with investigators.

The DSS has yet to issue an official statement on the arrest, but the agency is believed to be intensifying surveillance on individuals and groups using social media to incite actions capable of undermining national security.
