A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday convicted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, on three out of the seven terrorism charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

Presiding Judge, Justice James Omotosho, held that the prosecution had successfully established its case, relying heavily on video recordings in which Kanu was seen issuing threats of violence against Nigeria and its citizens.

The court’s decision marks a significant development in the years-long legal battle between the separatist leader and the Federal Government.
