Fresh concern has trailed the discovery of a young woman, identified simply as Boluwatife, who was reportedly found wandering late at night around the Ijapo axis of Akure, Ondo State.
The Hope Metro learnt that the lady, said to be in her mid-20s, appeared to be suffering from a sudden loss of memory and could not provide any personal information when approached.
Witnesses said she clutched a pair of slippers and was believed to have been dropped off by an unknown vehicle moments before she was sighted.
A video circulating on Facebook shows Boluwatife—clad in a yellow sleeveless top and tight trousers—visibly confused as she struggled to explain where she was coming from.
During questioning by concerned residents, she managed to state her name as Boluwatife.
Attempts by residents to get her to identify her home or any family member were unsuccessful, as her speech reportedly became incoherent.
According to the video, the only thing she could remember was that she is from Ondo State.
Her condition sparked speculation among onlookers, with some suggesting she could have fallen victim to ritual-related activities, citing her disoriented state.
A voice in the video suggested that she may require spiritual help, adding that her situation should serve as a lesson to young women.
Authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
