The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), has indicated that he may formally join the ruling All Progressives Congress, saying he is in the process of transitioning into partisan politics.
Musa made this known during an interview on Sunday Politics, a programme aired on Channels Television, where he disclosed that his political journey was still unfolding.
He said he was appreciative of the platform provided by the APC, noting that the party played a role in his emergence first as Chief of Defence Staff and later as Minister of Defence.
According to him, this experience has strengthened his resolve to align with the ruling party.
The former CDS said he was not yet a registered member of the APC but stressed that he was moving in that direction, describing his current status as a period of transition.
Musa also expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu, insisting that the President deserved total backing to deliver on his mandate.
“I’ve not fully transitioned yet, but I’m in transition. I think I’ll become a politician and definitely a member of the APC,” he said.
He added, “Mr President needs total support, and I am ready to give him that support in every way I can.”
