The Akoko North West Local Government Youth Forum has disowned reports claiming that it endorsed Chief Oluremi Alex Ajipe, describing such claims as false, misleading and unauthorised.

The Forum made this clarification in a statement jointly signed by its President, Kayode Ademoye Michael, and the General Secretary, Olanrewaju Oluseyi, on Saturday, insisting that no such endorsement was ever discussed or approved by its leadership.

According to the statement, the youth body said it had not endorsed Ajipe in any form or capacity, stressing that any publication or article suggesting otherwise did not reflect its position and should be disregarded by the public.

The Forum further disclosed that its Vice President had been formally reprimanded for actions taken without due authorisation and outside the collective decision-making framework of the organisation.

It noted that the actions of the Vice President neither represented the views nor the resolutions of the Akoko North West Youth Forum, adding that the Forum operates strictly within its established structures.

The group advised members of the public to ignore the said report in its entirety, stating that it lacked legitimacy and official backing from the Forum.

Reaffirming its stance, the youth body said it remained committed to transparency, internal discipline and responsible engagement in all matters affecting its integrity and public image.

The statement was issued from the Forum’s National Secretariat in Okeagbe Akoko.
